The Vierkleur is the flag of the old South African Republic. Other Boer republics also used four-colour flags, but the Transvaals Four-colour is the most famous.
The Vierkleur is a symbol of freedom and of the Boerevolk's quest for freedom. It stands for our people's attitude towards other peoples. In obedience to the Law of God, we also grant other peoples the same freedom that we desire. This attitude is already in the Voortrekker manifesto and our people have always remained faithful to it.
That is why the Four Colors stand against imperialism and colonialism. It stands against oppression and oppression of peoples. This stands for our biblical command that every people must govern itself and seek and serve the Lord in a national context. This is why our forefathers fought so bravely against British rule.
This is why we now also fight under the banner of the Four Colors against the oppression of our people.
